About 20 French and German scientists of the IPOC consortium are currently meeting for a 2 days informal workshop on the latest outcomes of the 2014 Mw 8.2 Pisagua-Iquique Earthquake.
The meeting has to be seen as a follow-up of the IPOC meeting organised last year at the German Reserach Cetre for Geosciences in n Potsdam, June 3-4 2014. The goal is to provide the opportunity of informal presentations and discussions around ongoing work on the 2014 Pisagua seismic crisis and to foster closer interactions and collaborations between the different groups.
While the first day is dedicated to the latest outcomes of geodetic and seismological projects related to IPOC, the second day will focus more on data management and the coordination of scientific services offered for and by the IPOC consortium.
